CarbonFarm says the funding will help proliferate sustainable yet profitable rice farming in Asia, Africa, and South America. Over the past year it has expanded collaborations with Mars Food, Danone, and Ebro across Vietnam, India, Spain, Portugal, and Ghana. Its most recent project supports lower-carbon rice production in Vietnam since November 2022, where it developed MRV systems and supervised the carbon credit process from MRV to certification and sale.
