CBien offers a digital asset-management platform to secure, estimate and manage personal belongings such as laptops, smartphones and bicycles. Users can create a free inventory of their items and sell, rent, share or protect them in a few clicks. The company raised €8m in a second funding round, with backers including existing investors MAIF, MACIF and 5M Ventures. CBien intends to use the funds to expand its reach across France and to enter international markets, targeting Germany and the United Kingdom first. It will continue to develop the platform. CBien was created in December 2013 by David Gascoin and Pierre Delage and operates in Paris, Nantes and Hamburg.
