Cerebelly

Overview

Cerebelly produces science-backed baby food products formulated to support optimal infant neurodevelopment, including nutrient-dense pouches and Smart Bars. Its products are organic, non-GMO, vegetable-first, dairy-free, gluten-free, and contain no added sugar. The company holds a U.S. patent for a food composition and the use of 16 key nutrients targeted at early brain development. Cerebelly says its products contain eight times the amount of nutrients compared with the seven top-selling baby food brands. Products are sold direct-to-consumer at Cerebelly.com and through Amazon, Thrive Market, and over 8,200 retail stores nationwide — including Whole Foods, Target, Meijer, Kroger, and Walmart/Walmart.com. The company plans to use new funding for product development and innovation, brand marketing, expanding its digital presence, and further retail growth. Cerebelly produces organic, plant-based, ‘veggie-first’ shelf-stable baby-food pouches formulated to deliver key nutrients for brain development at specific monthly growth stages. The brand uses a patent-pending nutritional blueprint developed by Dr Purzner at Stanford, licensed to Cerebelly, to map nutrients (iron, lutein, DHA, selenium, choline, zinc, thiamin, niacin and others) to age ranges. Each pouch targets a narrow age window (for example 5–7 months, 8–9 months, 10–11 months) and many pouches contain around 4g of plant protein. Cerebelly emphasizes whole-food ingredients such as chlorella, spinach, kelp, maitake mushroom, sunflower and squash seeds, peas, beans and quinoa, and keeps vegetables as the #1 ingredient to lower sugar and shape flavor preferences. The products are shelf-stable pouches processed via retort; the company tests 15–18 essential nutrients post-processing and notes vitamin C is significantly diminished by retort. Cerebelly has launched a direct-to-consumer business and is rolling out nationwide at Whole Foods; pouch pricing is $2.83 each at Whole Foods (three-pack $8.49) and $2.31–$2.89 on the company website depending on order size.
