Cereve develops an FDA-cleared, drug-free insomnia therapy system consisting of an intelligent bedside device that precisely cools and pumps fluid to a forehead pad worn throughout the night. Three independent clinical studies on more than 230 patients across 3,800 research nights demonstrated the safety and efficacy of the device, and subjects reported it was easy to use and comfortable. The company holds eight issued and 21 pending patents covering the Cereve System. Cereve was formed in 2008 and is based near Pittsburgh, PA. It is preparing for a U.S. market launch in the second half of 2017 and plans to deploy new funding to build out infrastructure and support rapid expansion to meet physician and patient demand. Management includes executives with sleep-sector experience from Respironics.
