Chimera Bioengineering is developing the GOLD Platform to improve control, reduce toxicity, and increase efficacy of engineered CAR‑T cell therapies for solid tumors. The company engineers T cells to selectively activate when they encounter tumor cells and deliver payloads to counteract the suppressive tumor microenvironment. Preclinical data cited by the BRACE program support the platform’s potential to apply CAR‑T curative potential to solid tumors. Chimera is based in Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JLABS in South San Francisco, California. As BRACE Award winner, the company gained access to AFCR’s network of cancer experts, advisors and visibility that the program provides. Chimera says it will leverage that support and new capital to advance its platform toward transformative therapies for cancer patients in Asia and beyond.
