Overview

CIQ offers a software infrastructure platform that operates across the entire technology stack, from bare metal provisioning and imaging to operating systems, containers, orchestration, and federated computing. The company cross-pollinates enterprise, cloud, hyperscale, and high-performance computing to deliver stable, scalable, and secure solutions. CIQ is the founding sponsor and services partner behind Rocky Linux, a community-maintained, freely available enterprise Linux distribution founded by Gregory M. Kurtzer. The company has seen adoption across telecommunications, media and entertainment, oil and gas, financials, large retail, and HPC customers. CIQ recently announced a partnership with Google Cloud to offer support for Rocky Linux as a direct, first-party Google supported offering. The company intends to use the new funding to expand operations and broaden its business reach. Ctrl IQ builds a full technology stack that merges enterprise, hyper-scale, cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) capabilities to orchestrate performance-intensive workflows. Its multi-cloud, multi-site solution is aimed at enabling AI, machine learning, analytics and scientific workflows with an emphasis on security and performance. The fully supported stack includes Rocky Linux, Warewulf, Ctrl Computing Stacks, Fuzzball orchestration, and Ctrl IQ Cloud to run workloads on-premise, in the cloud, and at the edge. Founded by HPC veteran Gregory Kurtzer, the company positions its offerings to fit within existing enterprise architectures and infrastructures. Ctrl IQ says it is working with customers in the military, aerospace, chip manufacturing, national labs, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and enterprise sectors, and offers demos and early build-outs starting at launch. The company launched to accelerate the speed and efficiency of multi-prem, multi-cloud, multi-architecture workflows across research and enterprise use cases.
