Citizens of Soil sources and sells premium extra virgin olive oils direct to consumers, working with small-batch groves that practise regenerative farming and prioritise underrepresented female farmers. The founders built the business to cut out intermediaries, improve transparency, and deliver fresher, more flavourful oils while promoting sustainable farming and soil health. The company began as a side project supporting family friends in Crete and expanded into a commercial DTC business addressing a market dominated by mass-produced blended oils. Citizens of Soil champions independent producers and small-scale groves that farm in harmony with nature, emphasising flavour and nutrition. Financially, the business has just completed a £1.8M Seed funding round to accelerate growth.
