Claros
21515 Hawthorne Blvd. Suite 650, Torrance, CA, 90503, United States
Overview
Claros builds a chip-to-grid power platform composed of an integrated voltage regulator (IVR) that delivers power directly to processing units and a Power Gateway, a DC-native power distributor that reduces AC/DC conversion losses and integrates with power sources. Since emerging from stealth, Claros has fabricated three IVR designs (T0, A1 and a third design) with T0 confirming the architecture and A1 currently on test; a fourth design is planned for fabrication based on customer requirements. The company has also completed initial hardware and software designs for Power Gateway and assembled a demonstration unit for lab testing. Claros says its mesh network architecture can scale power delivery from a single 40-amp module to clusters capable of delivering over 40,000 amps. Financially, the company raised $9.75M at stealth and has now closed a $30M seed round to fund lab expansion, prototyping, hiring, and initial manufacturing runs. The team has grown by 26 employees across its Los Angeles lab and Northern Virginia office since launch.
