The company has filed patents for a direct liquid-cooling technology that places cells in 100% contact with coolant, which it says improves safety (fireproof), enables 25-minute charging, and extends life by 1.5x. Clean Electric plans to expand R&D, sales, and operations and to establish a manufacturing plant in Pune with capacity to produce 5,000 battery packs per month. The firm also intends to develop solutions for quicker charging, renewable energy storage, and battery switching, and believes its products can be exported to markets in the global south. Clean Electric was founded in 2020 and positions its technology as addressing EV safety, charging time, and battery-life concerns that affect EV adoption in India.
