ClimateTrade is a Valencia, Spain-based blockchain-enabled climate marketplace that provides an API and widget to let companies offer carbon-neutral products and services. Led by CEO Francisco Benedito, its client roster includes Cabify, Banco Santander, Telefónica, Correos y Telégrafos, Prosegur and others. The company closed a €7m Pre‑Series A and is pursuing an additional €13m US-focused round to reach a €20m international expansion target. ClimateTrade plans to reincorporate in the US and establish ClimateTrade US, headquartered in Miami, within the next five months. The new capital is earmarked for international expansion. Investors in the €7m round include GED via Conexo Ventures, ClearSky, Borderless Capital, Algorand, SIX FinTech Ventures, Telefónica/Wayra, Omron Ventures, Amasia and Zubi Capital.
