Clipboard
Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Overview
Clipboard is an online attendance-tracking and communication platform designed to streamline extracurricular activity management for school staff, students, and parents. The product centralizes sign‑in/attendance and timely communication as students move between activities such as sport, music and excursions. Founders Ed Colyer and Sam Clarke developed the idea in 2017 while at university and coaching sport, and later recruited co‑founder Christiaan Hind to develop the product. Clipboard says it has been adopted by 100 Australian schools and is fielding enquiries from schools overseas. The company describes its category as “EMS” (Extracurricular Management System) and plans to use fresh capital for new functionality and business‑development hires. Until this raise Clipboard grew largely through customer referrals and had no dedicated sales team prior to the funding.
