Coast builds a demo platform for API-first companies that lets sales teams execute live requests and showcase APIs through an in-browser dashboard. The product auto-generates user interfaces from lines of code using publicly accessible or sandbox APIs rather than relying on front-end mockups. Coast pre-configures visuals to the API based on technical specifications so salespeople can deliver bespoke, interactive demos for outbound outreach, live demos, follow-ups and even into implementation. Founders Spencer Levitt and Austin Pager, who met at Northwestern, pivoted to this sales-focused use after an early adopter repurposed the tool during their time in Y Combinator. Coast reports early uptake from customers including Unit, Finch, Oso, Sardine, Column Tax and Enode. The company has raised $2.1 million in seed funding from investors including Y Combinator, Liquid2 Ventures, GTMfund, Brickyard and individual backers such as Arash Ferdowsi and Calvin French-Owen. Coast positions itself against demo vendors like Demostack and Consensus by targeting API-first companies and removing the need for frontend demo engineering.
