Cobrainer

Ridlerstraße 39, Munich, Bavaria, 80339, Germany

Overview

Founded in 2013 out of a TU München research project, Munich-based Cobrainer has built a cloud-based, AI skill-mapping platform containing over 500,000 individual skills. Employees upload data such as résumés or LinkedIn profiles, and the software recommends internal job openings or targeted upskilling paths, helping corporations save time and money while boosting retention. After launching its SaaS product in October 2020, the company reports tripling revenue every year since 2019 and has more than doubled headcount in the current year. The business serves enterprise customers with several thousand employees, initially gaining traction in highly regulated sectors like automotive and achieving TISAX certification for data protection and IT security. Management plans to invest aggressively in product development, expand the platform to host third-party training content, and build a broad network of technology and consulting partners to simplify integrations. Cobrainer was last valued at roughly €100 million. Founders Hanns Aderhold and Thomas Andrae lead the firm.
