Overview
CoinList is a trading app for new digital assets that launched in 2017. The platform has been used by projects such as Solana, Mina, Algorand, and Flow to distribute their tokens. The company said it focused its fundraising in fast-growing regions in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It raised $100 million in its latest funding round at a $1.5 billion valuation and said it will use the funds to scale its services and better support its community. Crypto trading on the app surged in 2021, with monthly trading volume increasing to $1 billion. Its global user base grew more than 40-fold in the past 12 months to 4.5 million accounts across 170 countries. CoinList operates a technology platform that helps digital asset companies manage token sales and gives accredited investors a place to discover projects. Its infrastructure handles components of token offerings, including ComplyAPI services for AML/KYC checks and investor accreditation verification under U.S. securities laws. The company has processed more than $400 million since mid-2017, hosts thousands of accredited investors on the platform, and supported Filecoin’s $205 million 2017 token sale. CoinList plans to use new funding to grow compliance, operations, engineering, product, and sales teams, to support existing products, and to launch new product lines. Launched in 2017 by CEO Andy Bromberg, the company is headquartered in San Francisco.
