Overview
Coinscrap provides a white‑label platform for micro‑savings and personal‑finance planning that uses automated saving rules and behavioral‑economics principles for banks and insurers. The company is led by David Conde, Óscar Barba and Juan Carlos López. With this product strategy Coinscrap has closed commercial agreements with Banco Santander and Mutualidad de la Abogacía. The firm reported that 2020 revenue was 3.5x higher than in 2019, demonstrating material topline growth. Coinscrap says the new funding will be used to consolidate its position in the micro‑savings category and begin international scaling. The startup has also received industry recognition, including the Titán de las Finanzas 2020 and a “Best Financial Management Platform” award from Faster Community. Coinscrap offers a solution intended to make saving money engaging rather than tedious. The company was one of the startups selected by accelerator Bbooster Ventures in an October 2018 cohort. Bbooster deployed a total of €300,000 across Coinscrap, Discocil and Usizy as part of that program. Coinscrap and the other selected startups were reviewed by national investors Kfund, Nekko, Faraday and Bankinter and by international investors Redstone, Join Capital and DraperSprit. The startups were presented at an event hosted by B‑Venture and Biscay Bay Startup Campus. The article does not disclose founding year, location, equity stakes or operating metrics for Coinscrap.
