Colnn offers a web-based school management SaaS and an integrated mobile app that links teachers, parents and students and helps schools manage internal processes, departments and activities. The service is designed to optimise use of schools' available resources. The startup works with about 30 schools in Egypt and has over 3,000 registered users, with a target of 20,000 users by the end of the year. Colnn was founded in 2015 by Tamer Samir. The company had been bootstrapped until this funding and underwent a six-month in‑house incubation programme with its new investor. Management has said the startup plans to sign deals in GCC and MENA countries in the coming months.
