Compass Therapeutics is a Cambridge, MA–based biotechnology company focused on developing antibody-based therapeutics that target the human immune synapse. The company employs antibody discovery and bispecific engineering platforms, including its proprietary StitchMabs high-throughput bispecific screening platform. StitchMabs enables rapid identification of synergistic bispecific activity across a broad range of epitopes on each target. Compass reports the ability to drug two new targets per month and to generate therapeutic candidates in less than two months from antigen to candidate set. It has more than 15 therapeutic candidates in preclinical development, has filed over 50 patent applications, and its lead immuno-oncology candidate, CTX-471, is in late IND-enabling studies and expected to enter the clinic in the first half of 2019. The company says the recent financing will enable advancement of its antibody-based therapeutics into the clinic.
