Coolset (formerly Greencast.io) develops an automated decarbonization platform tailored exclusively to small and medium-sized enterprises, enabling measurement, analysis, reduction, and removal of carbon footprints in a matter of weeks. The platform offers scenario planning, benchmarking, and generation of actionable decarbonization strategies across scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Founded in 2021 and based in Amsterdam, Coolset positions itself as a cost-efficient alternative to hiring consultants or using Excel-based tools. Current customers include Lepaya, HelloPrint, and MyWheels. The startup secured €1.5 million to launch the tool and will use the funding to expand its team, accelerate growth, and further develop platform features. Coolset aims to help SMEs comply with upcoming reporting requirements such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive in 2024 and to scale automated, user-friendly net-zero planning for smaller businesses.
