Cybellum
3 Aminadav St., Tel Aviv-Yafo, Tel Aviv District, 6706703, Israel
Overview
Cybellum provides an Automotive Risk Assessment platform that exposes software vulnerabilities across vehicle components without accessing source code. Its platform creates a detailed Digital Twin of each software component and continuously scans for emerging vulnerabilities, identifying threats impacting specific makes, models and manufacturing series. The system monitors every strand of code for exposure to risk, enabling manufacturers to remediate cyber risk proactively. Co-founded by Michael Engstler and Slava Bronfman in 2018 and based in Tel Aviv, the company already partners with ten OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across the USA, Europe, Japan and China. Cybellum plans to use the new funds to expand sales, marketing and engineering and to enable adoption of its Risk Assessment platform and Digital Twin approach by more industries to scale vulnerability management operations. Total funding to date is $15m following the Series A. Cybellum builds a prevention platform to protect companies from zero-day attacks by delivering agentless, cloud-based and on-premise solutions that provide fully automatic forensics and incident visibility. The company’s product is designed to operate without the need for cyber experts. Cybellum was founded in 2015 by Slava Bronfman and Michael Engstler and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. It announced the discovery of three new zero-day vulnerabilities that are currently unpublished, unpatched and potentially being used in the wild. The company raised $2.5m in seed funding to accelerate expansion and R&D. Planned uses of the funds include opening a U.S. office in 2017 and furthering research and development efforts.
