    Scewo AG is a Swiss, Winterthur-based technology company best known for the Scewo BRO, a stair-climbing electric power wheelchair. The BRO represents a new generation of power wheelchairs that combines technologies in novel ways to improve mobility. The company recently secured CHF 9.2 million in a Series A extension to accelerate product development and commercialization. The infusion of capital is intended to drive the company toward profitability and to support a strategic entry into the U.S. market. Scewo says it will use the funding to enhance its wheelchair technology and expand freedom and independence for users with mobility challenges. Scewo develops the BRO, a stair-climbing electric wheelchair now produced in a second series with optimized hardware and a new battery and the ability to be used as a passenger seat in a car. The company has expanded its production site in Stein am Rhein and is growing its team to support manufacturing and train new distribution partners. Scewo has established a subsidiary in Germany and is building a sales network there, hiring first distribution partners who will also assist customers with health-insurance financing applications and provide local service. The fresh capital is being used primarily to expand market activities and marketing in Germany. The process can create feature sizes below 10 nm with overlay alignment down to 1 µm and is positioned for high‑volume, low‑cost production. SCIL’s technology targets applications including AR smart glasses, lasers, biosensors and other nanoimprint uses. The company spun out from Philips Research in 2016 and is based in Eindhoven. With newly secured growth financing, SCIL intends to scale up operations and reinforce its market‑leader status. Management says the investors will provide financial support and strategic insights to accelerate industrialisation and international growth.

    Unisers develops a particle monitoring platform that uses surface-enhanced Raman scattering to identify the source of contamination in semiconductor manufacturing. Its system detects the size, concentration and composition of particles with sensitivity and molecular specificity, enabling monitoring of defectivity of individual process chemicals. By pinpointing contamination sources it aims to improve product yield and lower the carbon footprint at chip manufacturing plants. The company is led by founder and CEO Ali Altun and is based in Zurich, Switzerland. In February 2023 Unisers raised $14M in seed funding to accelerate delivery of its commercial products to leading semiconductor partners by 2023.

    Cybellum provides an Automotive Risk Assessment platform that exposes software vulnerabilities across vehicle components without accessing source code. Its platform creates a detailed Digital Twin of each software component and continuously scans for emerging vulnerabilities, identifying threats impacting specific makes, models and manufacturing series. The system monitors every strand of code for exposure to risk, enabling manufacturers to remediate cyber risk proactively. Co-founded by Michael Engstler and Slava Bronfman in 2018 and based in Tel Aviv, the company already partners with ten OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers across the USA, Europe, Japan and China. Cybellum plans to use the new funds to expand sales, marketing and engineering and to enable adoption of its Risk Assessment platform and Digital Twin approach by more industries to scale vulnerability management operations. Total funding to date is $15m following the Series A. Cybellum builds a prevention platform to protect companies from zero-day attacks by delivering agentless, cloud-based and on-premise solutions that provide fully automatic forensics and incident visibility. The company’s product is designed to operate without the need for cyber experts. Cybellum was founded in 2015 by Slava Bronfman and Michael Engstler and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel. It announced the discovery of three new zero-day vulnerabilities that are currently unpublished, unpatched and potentially being used in the wild. The company raised $2.5m in seed funding to accelerate expansion and R&D. Planned uses of the funds include opening a U.S. office in 2017 and furthering research and development efforts.
