Overview
씨이텍 commercializes wet carbon-capture technology developed under the government 'Korea CCS 2020' program. The company owns two proprietary absorbents—MABSol® for high‑concentration CO2 sources and CT-1® for low‑concentration sources such as natural-gas power and ship exhaust—and simulation technology to design tailored processes across varied emission sources. Its low-water‑concept absorbents reportedly reduce regeneration energy by about 40–45% versus a commercial MEA 30wt% solvent. 씨이텍 was founded in December 2020 and built early research infrastructure through SK E&S support and joint research. Using the new funding, the company plans to accelerate a ship carbon-capture pilot, develop mobile processes for diverse flue gases, and establish an international cooperation network. It is pursuing pilot partnerships with shipbuilding and power-system firms and collaborative research with a Texas university.
