DanceOn is a YouTube multichannel network that aggregates dance-focused channels and produces original dance video programming. It positions itself as the number one place for dance videos on YouTube and produces premium series such as Dance Showdown and a docuseries called The Edge. The company was one of roughly 100 channels funded by YouTube's $100 million initiative to invest in original content. Founded by Amanda Taylor with help from Guy Oseary and Allen Debevoise, DanceOn operates both as a network for partner creators and a producer of owned-and-operated content. The company plans to increase investment in original programming and build technology tools to simplify partner uploads. DanceOn currently has 16 full-time employees and expects to expand to about 25 over the next several months. It has secured new funding to support those plans.
