The founders obtained a patent covering mobile devices interacting with hospitality POS systems for opening, viewing, splitting, and paying a tab. The app supports bill splitting, location ratings, and potential merchant rewards for frequent use. Dash planned an Apple App Store launch in August and said it would release an Android app before the end of the year. It has lined up more than 50 NYC bars and restaurants, including Via Tribunali, Clinton Street Baking Company, Agave, and Burger and Barrel.
