Overview
DAZN operates a subscription-based sports streaming service that holds broadcasting rights for top-tier football in Germany, Italy and Spain, as well as newly secured U.S. rights to the FIFA Club World Cup. The company’s revenues climbed to roughly £3.2 billion in 2024, up more than £320 million year-on-year, while pre-tax losses narrowed to £935.6 million and EBITDA losses fell to £778 million. Management attributes the improved performance to subscriber growth, rights renewals and tighter cost controls implemented during an ongoing restructuring. DAZN has expanded its footprint by acquiring Foxtel in Australia and pursuing growth in the Middle East and Asia. Looking ahead, the firm targets approximately £5 billion in revenue and a return to profitability in 2025, after years of heavy investment funded largely by backer Access Industries. Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund has taken a minority stake to bolster regional expansion, and the company has signalled openness to an IPO once it achieves profitability and market conditions permit.
