DEEMEA develops the DEEMEA Research Platform, an AI-driven software suite for medical imaging that covers the full clinical research workflow from initial data collection to statistical analysis with advanced structuring and integrated quality assurance. The platform includes automatic image annotation and data review tools, universal APIs, foundation AI models for major radiology modalities, and a library of automated quality-control algorithms alongside proprietary and open-source deep-learning models for targeted pre-interpretation in orthopedics, rheumatology, oncology and certain rare diseases. After three years of R&D, DEEMEA launched in early 2024 a solution that digitizes all stages of medical imaging data management for clinical research and offers a federated research capability to preserve European patient data sovereignty. The company reports more than a dozen clinical sites using the platform across France, Germany and Italy, and commercial customers in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors for real-world studies and prospective trials. In June 2024 DEEMEA raised €4 million from Karista and YZR Capital to intensify its European deployment and scale operations. The funding is expected to provide financial support and access to investor networks and experts to accelerate adoption and reduce timelines and costs for clinical studies.
