Overview
Drone Harmony builds automation software for data-acquisition workflows in the commercial drone market, centered on an industry-leading 3D Flight Planning Engine. Its platform enables automated flight-plan generation, plan visualization, and flight execution, supporting recurring and scheduled BVLOS flights from remote command centers and use of low-oversight docking stations. The software is designed to scale drone-based data capture from small proofs of concept to large enterprise-wide operations. More than 200,000 drone flights take place annually using Drone Harmony's solution, and the company employs 20 people. Drone Harmony raised CHF2 million in a second financing to accelerate innovation, enhance product offerings, and expand into the US market. The company recently established a US presence and appointed a Chief Operations Officer for North America. Drone Harmony provides a market-first Full-3D Flight Planning Engine that automates mission planning, visualization and flight execution for commercial drone data acquisition. The platform comprises mobile and web applications plus an integrated cloud service designed for enterprise workflows and widely available off-the-shelf drones. Key capabilities include an automated mission planning feature that uses GIS, CAD and shape data to generate safe, optimized missions and unique terrain-aware surveys. The engine supports inspections of telecommunication towers, electric grids, railways, roads, pipelines, bridges and other complex infrastructure. The company is bootstrapped and currently plans and executes more than 150,000 drone flights globally each year; since 2016 customers have automated over 350,000 commercial drone flights. Recent funding will be used to accelerate innovation in its Full-3D products, execute its market strategy and expand its portfolio through strategic partnerships in the drone and infrastructure digitalization space.
