Dwarfs
Atoomweg 50, Utrecht, 3542 AB, Netherlands
Overview
Dwarfs buys and consolidates e‑commerce marketplace brands, operating as the only marketplace aggregator from the Benelux region. The company pursues acquisitions to build scale and centralize expertise and infrastructure across acquired brands. Management has a shortlist of targets with a combined turnover of approximately €100 million and aims to complete multiple deals quickly to reach a revenue tipping point. Dwarfs has previously used debt to fund acquisitions, closing a €30 million debt financing in September 2021 to buy four brands. Its strategy and growth plan were disrupted when a planned larger debt facility was derailed by the war in Ukraine. To date the company has raised €67.5 million in total capital. Dwarfs acquires and operates online consumer brands, primarily in lifestyle and home furnishings niches. The company uses external financing to fund acquisitions and growth, most recently securing debt capital to close multiple deals. It has targeted four brands—Slaapkalm, Calmzy, Litollo and Kristie’s Kitchen—covering weighted blankets, bedroom accessories, pregnancy pillows and kitchenware. Three of the four online stores currently operate only in the Netherlands, while the fourth already sells across multiple geographies. Dwarfs plans to help these niche brands expand internationally and multiply revenues through its know-how and scale. The company is also pursuing additional equity capital this month and is preparing a larger debt- and equity-based Series B raise.
