Overview
E-Go aeroplanes designs and manufactures lightweight carbon-fibre aeroplanes led by co-founder and chief designer Giotto Castelli and executive chairman Malcolm Bird. The company’s prototype had its first successful flight on 17 October 2013 and is currently undergoing trials and ground testing. It plans first customer deliveries in the first quarter of 2015, with aircraft priced at around £50,000 plus VAT. E-Go raised £950K in a second financing to support development and expansion. The company previously launched with twenty investors in 2011, among them Marshall of Cambridge.
