Cerêve’s core product is the Cerêve System, an intelligent bedside device that precisely cools and pumps fluid to a forehead pad worn throughout the night to reduce time to sleep. The device received FDA clearance and was evaluated in three independent clinical studies covering more than 230 patients and roughly 3,800 research nights, which demonstrated safety and efficacy. The company holds eight issued and 21 pending patents around the therapy and reports clinical subjects found the device easy to use and comfortable. Management includes executives with prior experience at Respironics, reflecting sleep-sector expertise. Cerêve plans a U.S. market launch in the second half of 2017 and is preparing infrastructure and commercialization activities to meet physician and patient demand. The recent financing provides capital to support those launch and expansion preparations.
