Mogl Network offers an online-to-offline real-time commerce platform that connects online offers to offline purchases via card-linking partnerships with Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Merchants create offers (for example, 10% cash-back) that are displayed on participating websites and apps; consumers link a debit or credit card through those sites, make an offline purchase, and receive instant rewards. The company’s revenue model charges merchants a fee for sales delivered and shares revenue with participating websites and apps. Mogl was led by CEO and co-founder Jon Carder at the time of the report and operates out of San Diego, CA. The firm planned a public launch later in the year after running in private beta with several large websites and apps. Financially, Mogl had raised $35M in total and used the new funding to launch its Mogl Network service.
