ENAPI
Max-Beer-Straße 17, Berlin, 10119, Germany
Overview
ENAPI provides a centralised EV-charging software platform that lets charge point operators and eMSPs clear transactions and exchange session data. Its product aims to make infrastructure more efficient and to inform drivers about charger reliability, addressing fragmentation that forces drivers to use multiple apps. The company cites McKinsey research noting 70% of EV drivers are dissatisfied with public charging infrastructure. CEO and co-founder Jakob Kleihues says the mission is to make EV charging transactions seamless, efficient, and accessible. The new funding will be used to improve and expand ENAPI’s software, grow its presence in Europe and the US, and hire technical staff. Financially, ENAPI has raised €7.5M in the Seed round on top of a €2.5M pre-seed in early 2024, bringing total funding to €10M. Enapi provides a connectivity platform that connects charge point operators and eMobility service providers to enable an enhanced charging experience for EV drivers. The company is building a transaction broker and clearing house to facilitate transactions and data exchange across the EV charging marketplace. Enapi aims to drive adoption and expansion of open protocols to enhance community collaboration and data quality. It is launching its service with a group of European partners already onboarded, including Electra (FR), Monta (Nordics), JUCR (GER), Osprey, Octopus Electroverse, OVO Drive, and Paua (UK). Founded by CEO Jakob Kleihues and CTO Dennis Laumen, the team intends to use new funding to further develop the broker and clearing house functionalities. Financially, Enapi completed a €2.5M pre-seed funding round to support product development and go-to-market activities.
