Entia

6 Lloyd's Avenue, London, EC3N 3AX, United Kingdom

Overview

Entia builds remote patient monitoring tools for people undergoing cancer treatment, centered on its Liberty at-home blood-testing device. Liberty enables regular home-based blood checks to detect treatment-related conditions such as neutropenia, aiming to identify problems earlier and reduce unplanned hospitalisations. The approach is intended to move routine health assessments out of hospitals, improve patient experience, and help keep patients on treatment longer, potentially improving survival outcomes. The company plans to roll out its monitoring system across the UK and is pursuing regulatory approval in the US. Entia recently raised £16 million in a Series A to fund these efforts. Investors in the round include BGF, Parkwalk, Sussex Place Ventures, Innovate UK and other undisclosed backers. Entia is led by CEO and founder Dr. Toby Basey-Fisher. Entia has developed Entia Liberty, a virtual oncology service that uses a home blood analyser to let patients perform a suite of blood tests, initially focused on full blood counts to monitor haematological toxicity. Results are shared with healthcare professionals via Entia’s cloud network and integration tools to support personalised clinical decisions and earlier intervention. The service is at later stages of development and is pending regulatory approval; it is currently not available for sale. Entia has formed clinical and commercial partnerships, including with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and a commercial partnership with Pfizer UK to make the service available for metastatic breast cancer patients in the UK following approval. The company was founded in 2015 and is based in London. Entia has previously raised over $13 million (including support from Innovate UK’s Biomedical Catalyst programme) and most recently secured additional funding to launch Liberty and meet international demand.
