Entrega develops a proprietary peptide delivery platform that uses a customizable hydrogel dosage form to control local fluid microenvironments in the GI tract to enhance absorption and reduce variability of drug exposure. The platform is intended to enable oral delivery of complex molecules that cannot currently be taken orally, and may deliver a wide variety of biological molecules, drug substances, and nanoparticles. Entrega’s technology may also enable novel applications in disease management and mobile health tracking. The company received $5M in equity and research funding from Eli Lilly and Company to advance its peptide delivery technology. Under the initial agreement, the funding will support investigations of the technology applied to certain Lilly products and therapeutic candidates. Entrega is an affiliate of PureTech Health and its directors and scientific advisory board include a group of academic and industry experts such as Robert Langer, Samir Mitragotri and others.
