Equidam is a Rotterdam-based, cloud platform that allows users to generate valuation reports for their companies and to improve information transparency on crowdfunding platforms. The company is led by Italians Gianluca Valentini, Daniel Faloppa and Francesco Lisandro. Equidam has been used by more than 1,500 entrepreneurs since August 2013. The newly raised funds will be used to accelerate growth and expand platform functionality, with a focus on sales expansion, customer adoption and a new product line. As of this round the company has raised nearly €300K in total. The founders also declined a 100% acquisition offer from Symbid, which will nevertheless retain a minority participation. Equidam offers an automated valuation platform for small businesses that lets users analyze and assess a business or startup’s value and monitor progress over time. The platform was developed internally and tested for eight months prior to public release. It provides a working environment for valuations and tools to download valuation reports. Co-founded by Gianluca Valentini and Daniel Faloppa, the company is based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Advisors include Frank Peters, Korstiaan Zandvliet, Peter Roosenboom, Alberto Lupoi and Luca Berchicci. In the mid and long term, Equidam aims to enter the accountancy software market.
