Etpa operates a power-exchange platform that gives market participants access to short-term spot-trading markets in the Netherlands and Germany. Its portfolio includes Intraday (XBID), congestion management (GOPACS) and day-after trading (Ex-Post) services. The platform is used by battery companies, energy management systems, asset owners and utility companies to optimise their energy exposure through short-term trades. Etpa says it is one of three designated power exchanges with access to the full order book in the Netherlands and Germany and enables smaller participants to access these markets. The company recently raised €5.5 million in new capital to support its growth. After expanding into Germany earlier this year, Etpa plans to set up operations in Austria, Belgium and France.
