- DataVita
Participated · Debt Financing · Aug 2026
DataVita operates and develops data center campus assets in the UK, including DV1 (operated since 2016) and a smaller DV2 site in Glasgow offering 130 racks across 1,000 sqm. The company acquired DV1 in 2021 with £45m of owner support and was built originally by HFD Group in 2021. It is expanding DV1 and building a new DV3 facility in the North Lanarkshire AI Growth Zone, with all capacity from both buildings contracted to CoreWeave under a 15-year lease. Last year CoreWeave announced deployments of Nvidia GPUs into DataVita data centers, and management states the first facility from the current program is due to complete this year. The company has secured project-level debt financing and a National Wealth Fund-backed guarantee to underwrite the current build-out.
- Pure Data Centres
Participated · Debt Financing · Jul 2026
Pure Data Centres acquires land and develops large-scale data centre campuses which it then leases to hyperscalers such as Microsoft, Google and Amazon to host AI and cloud workloads. The company is backed by Oaktree Capital and operates assets including sites in Dublin, Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi. Pure DC is investing over €1 billion in a 78MW Amsterdam campus that is reported to be fully leased to Microsoft and comprises three 85-metre towers. The Amsterdam project is expected to create over 1,000 jobs, though there is no firm operational date reported. Management has signaled aggressive expansion plans across Europe and the Middle East supported by the recent $2.7 billion financing, while also noting a pause in some Middle East investments amid the Iran war. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the articles.
- Nebius
Participated · Debt Financing · Jul 2026
Nebius builds and operates data centres packed with GPUs and offers access plus specialised software to AI and enterprise customers. It positions itself as a neocloud provider supplying AI compute at scale and has secured multi-billion-dollar contracts with Meta and Microsoft. In May it acquired Eigen for about $643m in cash and stock to improve performance of open-source AI models. To finance further expansion, Nebius is issuing $4.5bn of convertible notes, earmarked for data-centre build-out, AI cloud investment and GPU purchases. The deal structure comprises two tranches due in 2030 and 2034, reflecting significant near- and medium-term capital needs.
- The Protein Brewery
Led · Series B · Jul 2026
The Protein Brewery makes Fermotein, a mycelium-derived mycoprotein powder produced via non-sterile biomass fermentation of a Rhizomucor pusillus strain. The company highlights that its strain cannot produce mycotoxins and that its high-temperature, low-pH, non-sterile process yields lower capital and operating costs versus other fermentation approaches. It plans to supply about 600 metric tons from its demo-scale factory in Breda in 2027 and scale production capacity to more than 2,000 tons by 2029. The firm is pursuing commercial traction in Europe, Singapore and the U.S., with sales push into Europe planned for Q3 and first U.S. products expected in late 2026. The Protein Brewery is funding human clinical studies, including a large study with Wageningen University on biomarkers of aging in Q1 2027, and is updating regulatory submissions globally while addressing FDA feedback on its GRAS filing.
- VARM
Led · Series A · Jun 2026
VARM operates a “Cloud Installer” model that recruits and trains career changers—including former logistics and retail workers—to become certified insulation specialists within weeks. The company organizes regional teams, manages quality control in-house and provides customers fixed-price quotes, claiming a standard single-family home can be insulated in around six hours. VARM was founded by Christian Grüner, a former Siemens Advanta executive, and Sebastian Würz, co-founder of housing platform Homefully. The startup says its approach addresses a major qualified-worker shortage that limits large-scale energy-efficiency upgrades across Europe. With the Series A funding, VARM plans to expand its operations and further scale its workforce model to support growing demand for insulation projects. The articles did not disclose revenue or user metrics.
