    Nebius builds and operates data centres packed with GPUs and offers access plus specialised software to AI and enterprise customers. It positions itself as a neocloud provider supplying AI compute at scale and has secured multi-billion-dollar contracts with Meta and Microsoft. In May it acquired Eigen for about $643m in cash and stock to improve performance of open-source AI models. To finance further expansion, Nebius is issuing $4.5bn of convertible notes, earmarked for data-centre build-out, AI cloud investment and GPU purchases. The deal structure comprises two tranches due in 2030 and 2034, reflecting significant near- and medium-term capital needs.

    Origis Energy develops, owns, and operates utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. The company is advancing a pipeline of more than 20 GW and said the new facility will help advance over 5 GW of highly advanced projects. Origis reported that it has quadrupled its operating capacity over the past 24 months. Earlier financings this year include $118 million in tax equity for the Chalan Solar + Storage project and approximately $545 million in senior secured project financing for three Rockhound Projects. Management framed the new corporate credit facility as liquidity to support its growth strategy and accelerate its near-term project pipeline. The syndicate of banks and institutional investors on the transaction provides both funded credit and letter-of-credit capacity to underwrite development activity.

    Digital Asset builds and operates the Canton Network, a public, permissionless Layer 1 blockchain that provides protocol-level privacy and confidentiality guarantees and runs applications written in its open-source smart contract language, Daml. Canton is designed to enable tokenized asset workflows across multiple parties while keeping transaction data confidential, and it has attracted marquee institutional participants including Visa, Goldman Sachs, and DTCC. The network has processed or issued more than $6 trillion in tokenized assets according to prior reporting, and Visa became a Canton Super Validator and added Canton to a stablecoin settlement pilot. The Canton ecosystem has also seen activity such as a $540 million raise by Canton Strategic Holdings (formerly Tharimmune) to build a Canton Coin treasury and a project called Zenith completing atomic swaps between Canton and an EVM-compatible environment. On the financing front, Digital Asset raised $135 million in June 2025 and $50 million in December 2025, and is now pursuing a roughly $300 million round led by a16z crypto. The company is backed by trading firms and banks including DRW Holdings and Citadel Securities.

    Mistral AI develops AI models and is expanding into infrastructure by building large-scale data centers for training and running advanced models. The company is constructing a facility in Bruyères-le-Châtel near Paris slated to be operational in Q2 2026 and has announced a second planned site in Sweden. Mistral aims to assemble a European compute network targeting 200 MW of capacity by the end of 2027. It will purchase roughly 13,800 advanced Nvidia chips with the recent financing. The company also supplies AI models and solutions to the French armed forces, positioning itself beyond pure model development into infrastructure and defense-related work. Financially, Mistral recently secured a €750M+ loan from a seven-bank consortium, its first significant borrowing from debt markets.

  • Fervo Energy

    Fervo Energy develops next-generation geothermal power using innovations in horizontal drilling, fiber-optic sensing and advanced reservoir engineering to make geothermal scalable and competitive. Its flagship Cape Station project in Beaver County, Utah is slated to deliver first power to the grid in 2026, reach about 100 MW of operating capacity by early 2027 and has plans to scale to 500 MW. Cape Station is fully contracted through power purchase agreements with Southern California Edison, Shell Energy and community choice aggregators. The company secured long-term non-recourse project financing for the first phase of Cape Station to fund remaining construction costs and meet counterparty credit support requirements. Fervo positions its technology and commercial contracts as enabling Enhanced Geothermal Systems to be treated as a bankable, utility-scale infrastructure asset.
