  • Kyvvu

    Led · Seed · Aug 2026

Kyvvu develops an Agent Security Kernel (ASK), a deterministic, framework-agnostic runtime control point that validates every action taken by an AI agent against fixed, version-controlled compliance policies. The ASK is designed to stop autonomous agents from performing unauthorized actions that could lead to data breaches or regulatory incidents. Kyvvu was founded by Jeroen Ghijsen and Maurits from research at the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science and is based in Den Bosch. The company raised €1 million in a pre-seed round backed by Volta Ventures and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM). Kyvvu will use the funding to expand its engineering team, grow its partner network, and support deployments across Europe. The articles do not report revenue or other operating metrics.

  • The Protein Brewery

    Participated · Series B · Jul 2026

The Protein Brewery makes Fermotein, a mycelium-derived mycoprotein powder produced via non-sterile biomass fermentation of a Rhizomucor pusillus strain. The company highlights that its strain cannot produce mycotoxins and that its high-temperature, low-pH, non-sterile process yields lower capital and operating costs versus other fermentation approaches. It plans to supply about 600 metric tons from its demo-scale factory in Breda in 2027 and scale production capacity to more than 2,000 tons by 2029. The firm is pursuing commercial traction in Europe, Singapore and the U.S., with sales push into Europe planned for Q3 and first U.S. products expected in late 2026. The Protein Brewery is funding human clinical studies, including a large study with Wageningen University on biomarkers of aging in Q1 2027, and is updating regulatory submissions globally while addressing FDA feedback on its GRAS filing.

  • Eyeo

    Participated · Series A · May 2026

eyeo was founded to commercialise nanophotonic imaging technology developed at imec and builds the NCOS® platform that replaces conventional color filters by splitting and directing light to individual pixels. The technology is compatible with existing CMOS sensor platforms, enables ultra‑compact sub‑micron pixels, and aims to improve light sensitivity, color accuracy and image resolution. eyeo targets applications across smartphones, industrial systems, XR devices, smart cities and autonomous systems. The company reports its technology is proven, patented and validated at a commercial foundry, with tier‑one customers already engaged. Financially, the company has raised a total of €55 million to date following the €40 million Series A. Eyeo plans to use the new funding to scale commercial delivery, expand engineering, strengthen OEM partnerships and invest in next‑generation 3D‑stacked CMOS image sensors and IC/system architecture capabilities.

  • Avendar

    Led · Seed · May 2026

Avendar develops an intelligence platform that automates investigative work by analysing disconnected information sources, identifying hidden relationships, and surfacing patterns for public-sector investigators. The company’s platform has been piloted with the Ministry of Justice and Safety and is in use by the Dutch National Police and the Municipality of Amsterdam for criminal investigations and Bibob screening. Founded in 2025 in Eindhoven by Hugo Sleegers, Tijs Bronnenberg, and Marijn van Aerle, Avendar positions itself as a sovereign European alternative to large foreign intelligence vendors. It aims to reduce manual investigative processes, increase case throughput, and improve the speed and quality of decision-making for public agencies. With the recent seed financing, Avendar plans to scale its engineering and product capabilities and prepare for broader European market expansion.

  • BBLeap

    Participated · Equity · Mar 2026

Founded in 2019 by Peter Millenaar, Martijn van Alphen, and Rieks Kampman, BBLeap builds high-precision spraying systems that enable nozzle-by-nozzle control and centimetre-level accuracy for individual plants and fruits. Its product suite includes the LeapBox hardware, LeapEye camera/broadacre system, and LeapSpace software that integrates with task maps and farm management systems to produce as-applied maps. LeapBox operates at up to 100Hz with stepless control and delivers consistent spray patterns at speeds up to 36 km/hr, and is compatible with a wide range of sprayer types including broadacre, orchard, robotic, and autonomous sprayers. The company reports chemical usage reductions ranging from 20% to 99% and productivity gains of up to 40% among its users. BBLeap is currently deployed with more than 200 users across Europe and Australia and is launching in Canada, while planning to scale global adoption following the recent funding.
