Evmos is an Ethereum Virtual Machine-based blockchain in the Cosmos ecosystem that enables developers to launch interoperable contracts across any number of EVM and Cosmos-based blockchains. It allows developers to continue creating apps in Solidity and Vyper while expanding functionality through cross-chain interoperability, novel token economics, and in-protocol incentives. The company raised $27M in Seed funding to accelerate growth of its ecosystem of interoperable dApps. Since going live near the end of April, a variety of DeFi products enable users to swap, lend, and borrow both ERC20 and IBC tokens, and NFT and gaming applications are beginning to appear. A range of wallets lets users manage ERC20 and IBC assets from one place, and institutional custody partners have integrated to provide better institutional access. Cross-chain oracles and infrastructure projects have also brought services to the ecosystem to support interoperable applications.
