500 Davis Street Suite 1004, Evanston, IL, 60201, US
Overview
Eyefreight develops a Transportation Management System (TMS) delivered as SaaS to streamline complex, worldwide transportation operations by providing central coordination and data visibility. Founded in 2008 and led by CEO Ken Fleming, the company serves customers including Tata Steel, Levi’s, Mango, Campari and Heineken. Its core product focuses on improving efficiency and oversight across global logistics networks. The company raised €9m and plans to use the funds to enhance its SaaS product and expand operations into North America. Planned expansion includes establishing a U.S. headquarters in Evanston, Illinois and recruiting business development and sales teams. Following the U.S. office opening, Ken Fleming will remain based at Eyefreight’s global headquarters in Utrecht to oversee the expansion and strategic hiring. Eyefreight, based in Bunnik, The Netherlands, provides a web-based freight management application offering local and global footprint calculations and reporting. The platform automatically calculates emissions (CO2, NOx, SOx, Particulate Matter) per freight unit shipped. Emission data is supplied by carriers for each transport lane and includes fuel consumption, average load factors, detouring, and fleet composition. The company plans to use the new capital to further penetrate the European market and expand internationally. The investment was secured from clean energy private equity firm Global Cleantech Capital; the amount and instrument were not disclosed. The company is led by CEO Wouter Lammerse.
