eYs3D Microelectronics designs integrated circuits, 3D sensors, camera modules and AI-based software to deliver end-to-end computer vision systems. Its technology supports vSLAM, object feature depth recognition and gesture-based commands and has been used in products such as the Oculus Rift S, Valve Index and Techman Robots. The company targets applications across robotics, touchless controls, autonomous vehicles and smart retail. eYs3D was spun out of Etron in 2016 and works with Etron for manufacturing and just-in-time supply to mitigate recent chip shortage concerns. The startup plans to use new funding to expand product development, launch a series of 3D computer vision modules, build its embedded chip business in new markets, work with new partners and hire additional talent. It combines silicon design and algorithms to provide turnkey solutions from IC design to ready-to-use products for customers.
