FairPlum, founded in 2020 by former Unilever executives Rupesh Agarwal and Mitesh Thakkar along with F&B specialist Mayank Tandon, builds and markets authentic regional and heritage food brands. Its core product is ready-to-order authentic dishes delivered through a phygital model of cloud kitchens, e-commerce, experience centers and channel sales. The startup partners with regional food brands and entrepreneurs to scale nostalgic specialties (eg. Food Karvaan) and preserve taste using food technology and supply-chain networks. FairPlum currently operates in 17 locations, has confirmed 10 more cloud kitchen locations and a Physical Experience center in Thane, and plans 100 cloud kitchens, one physical experience center and 5–10 kiosks in 2022 starting from Delhi‑NCR and Mumbai. The company is deploying the recent funding to marketing, brand building, people and organizational capabilities, facilities and working capital to support expansion.
