ChoreMonster is a website and mobile app ecosystem that gamifies children's chores by letting kids collect points and monster characters that can be exchanged for real-world rewards designed and granted by parents. The product centers on collectible monsters (including a new character, TeeCee, who "cleans all the crumbs and food particles out of your gadgets and devices") and features a redesigned kids section, a parents section, and a Monster Carnival. The company launched publicly at the turn of the year after eight months in private beta, during which users completed over 300,000 chores. ChoreMonster charges $4.99 per month and reports that 63% of kids care more about collecting monsters than getting parental rewards for chores.
