Fatherly was created by Mike Rothman and Simon Isaacs and launched after several months in beta to serve new and expecting fathers with tailored parenting content. The site publishes expert-driven articles and features contributors including Esther Perel, Stewart Friedman, and Timothy Dahl, plus interviews such as one with Malala Yousafzai’s father. Content ranges from practical gear recommendations to expert answers for kids’ questions, and the founders plan personalization via an age-based sign-up option (not yet enabled). Fatherly also incorporates an e-commerce component that sends age-specific product recommendations to subscribers. The team includes two full-time editors based in a New York City office and a broader network of contributors producing most content. The company recently completed a seed funding round, providing early financial backing for growth.
