Fentech has developed an AI system called Clairvoyant for sales forecasting to help retailers adapt to unstable economic conditions and rising inflation. Clairvoyant generates forecasts from the most detailed information (SKU, stores) to better account for each product's specificities and improve forecast reliability. The system comprises four main modules: demand forecasts; supply and allocations; pricing and promotions; and product launches and assortments. It analyses and proposes actions that promote the collective interest while taking into account the needs and constraints of each S&OP stakeholder. Clairvoyant is positioned to replace manual forecasting and Excel workflows, which the company says are too time-consuming, too complex and involve too many parameters. Fentech announced a €1.2M funding round led by Elaia with support from BPI. The company plans to use the financing to develop its R&D and commercial teams and be closer to customers and their daily challenges.
