Fibionic
Gewerbepark 7a Top12, Götzens, Tirol, 6091, Austria
Overview
fibionic has developed “fibionic fiber placement” (FFP), a bionic, load-path-oriented method for placing fibers in composite parts. The technology achieves cycle times as low as one minute per component while cutting material usage by up to 60 % and product weight by up to 50 %. It is already being deployed at scale through a partnership with Italian bicycle-saddle maker Selle Italia, and targets applications across automotive, sporting goods, aerospace, robotics, UAVs and defence. The company plans to expand its proprietary technology platform into simulation, equipment, materials, licensing and software tools. Proceeds will also fund growth of the engineering and business-development teams and the transition of existing pilot projects to full-scale production.
