Finanzguru is a digital, AI-based financial assistant and holistic advisor that connects to any online banking account in Germany. The app functions as a control centre for users’ money, letting them track income, expenses and contracts, save and invest, and take out insurance and other financial products. The company reports more than 1.5 million registered users and a team of 70 employees. Finanzguru plans to use the new funding to accelerate profitable growth in Germany, further expand its product platform, and strengthen its team. Since its launch in 2018, the startup has raised a cumulative €27M. Dwins builds Finanzguru, an artificial-intelligence driven mobile app designed to help Deutsche Bank’s clients better plan their finances and optimize individual customer needs, including contracts, debits and other financial issues. The company was co-founded by Alexander and Benjamin Michel and is based at the Deutsche Börse FinTech Hub in Frankfurt since 2015. Seven of its ten employees are located at the hub. Dwins has worked with the Deutsche Börse Venture Network, gaining introductions to potential investors as well as product feedback and user testing. Financially, the company recently completed a financing round of approximately €1M in which Deutsche Bank took a minority stake.
