Finisterre makes technical outdoor clothing such as merino underwear and base layers, waterproof jackets and insulated pieces. The company is UK-based and was founded in 2003. It completed a second Crowdcube crowdfunding campaign that raised £4.6 million from about 3,000 investors. Management says the funds will be used to drive e-commerce growth, expand the brand’s global reach and extend its retail footprint. This was the retailer’s second Crowdcube raise; its maiden campaign in late 2019 hit an initial target of £2 million from an estimated 2,000 investors. The recent raise exceeded the campaign’s initial £1.5 million target, securing 307 per cent over that target.
