Overview

Founded in 2024 by David Newman and based in Manchester, Firenze builds an embedded finance platform that enables wealth managers, IFAs and investment platforms to offer Lombard lending without clients moving or selling assets. The company has grown its partner network five-fold in the past year and counts firms representing almost €229 billion (£200 billion) in AuM, including Brooks Macdonald, Canaccord Wealth, Artorius, Lincoln, Cerno, Parmenion, P1 and Soderberg. Firenze positions Lombard lending as a fast-access liquidity option (often in as little as 24 hours) for mass affluent clients and aims to democratise access beyond private banking. Its go-to-market includes a SaaS proposition attracting banks and financial institutions, and it reports a rapidly growing loan book. Current plans include enhancing its SaaS product (notably an agentic credit structurer), expanding to more partners and entering new jurisdictions to scale its offering.
