Flat Iron is a UK-based steak restaurant group founded by Charlie Carroll in 2012. It currently operates four London sites: Soho, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden and Shoreditch, with two additional locations due to open later that year in Golborne Road and King’s Cross. The company focuses on steak dining and plans to use new funding to build the team and open further units in and around London. Flat Iron received a £10m minority investment from Piper Private Equity, which facilitated the exit of early backers. Following the deal, Carroll retained a controlling stake and will remain as Managing Director.
